Thank you for joining the forum. Welcome. I appreciate you contacting me through the contact us feature. From our conversations, you had mentioned that you have a deep interest in woodwoking, and am taking a lot of extra course time in the shop. I did the same when I was in high school. The only thing that I wish I did early on when looking for equipment for the shop was seek out and find a high school that was no longer offering industrial arts, (a mistake as far as I am concerned) and is auctioning off their equipment. I have heard of table saws like the Powermatic 66 that you see in the pictures for only about $300, and another 3 would get you a PM model 90 lathe with outbound turning station etc. Anyhow, however you acquire it, having the right tool for each job really helps.

Ya definitely. we have a PM90 in our shop. that table saw is awesome. My teacher got rid of one of the PM90's we had to make room for a new laguna lathe with a solid cast iron base and duplicator. that things is pretty sweet. I've been looking for a lathe for a while now. I might get a Jet. I got about 800 saved up so far.
